our sickness (movement III of how it begins / how it ends) (world premiere/preview)

our sickness is a furious keen for solo cello, excoriating and lamenting the American mass shooting epidemic, and based on one year of mass shooter data. A jarring and violent work, it was commissioned by the London Sinfonietta as part of its Sinfonietta Shorts program. It also serves at the third movement of the cello suite how it begins / how it ends, commissioned by American cellist Brian Snow. The world premiere of our sickness will take place at the London Sinfonietta’s World Premiere Wednesday breakfast event on Wednesday 25 July 2018, 8.30-10.00am at Rotunda Private Dining Room, Kings Place.
